What is Soroptimist International Sierra Nevada Region:

Soroptimist International Sierra Nevada Region represents over 1600 members in 55 clubs located from Sacramento to Yreka in California and all of the state of Nevada. (If you are from outside this area we can put you in touch with Soroptimist clubs in your area.) Through Soroptimist International we join nearly 80,000 Soroptimists in about 130 countries as “A Global Voice for Women.” Together we make a difference through Awareness, Advocacy and Action. We work together for the betterment of our communities and our world with a major focus on issues affecting women and children.

What is Soroptimist International:

Soroptimist International is a global women’s organization whose members volunteer to improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment. More than 80,000 Soroptimists in about 130 countries and territories around the world work to support community–based and global projects benefiting women and girls. The organization is particularly concerned with providing women and girls access to education, as this is the most effective path to self-determination.
